侍 is a JLPT N1 kanji meaning waiter, samurai, wait upon, written with 8 strokes. It is read ジ, シ (on) and さむらい, はべる (kun). It is one of the jōyō kanji taught in secondary school. You will see it in 侍 (さむらい, warrior) and 侍従 (じじゅう, chamberlain).
