The N3 kanji
371 kanji that take you from everyday life to the wider world: society, work, health, nature and ideas. Many are pieces you have already met inside N4 words, and most are read with their on reading in compounds. This is the level where real Japanese text starts to feel within reach.

There is no official list: the JLPT stopped publishing one in 2010. This one follows Jonathan Waller's lists, the ones most study sites use; the jōyō kanji they leave out are placed by the easiest word that uses them. Close enough to be useful, not a promise.
