整 is a JLPT N1 kanji meaning organize, arranging, tune, written with 16 strokes. It is read セイ (on) and ととのえる, ととのう (kun). Children in Japan learn it in grade 3. You will see it in 調整 (ちょうせい, adjustment) and 整備 (せいび, maintenance).
On'yomi: from Chinese, written in katakana. Used in compound words.
Kun'yomi: native Japanese, in hiragana. The faint part is the okurigana, written in kana after the kanji.
